I think this episode is a first for us. Lizzie, Mel & Melissa were all united in disliking the movie 9 1/2 Weeks. Sorry, Mickey Rourke…this film was not our kink!!
But it’s hard to look back at a movie that is so clearly made for a moment in time and not judge it harshly!! We tried…well, Mel & Melissa tried! Lizzie has no chill about movies she doesn’t like. 😉
What we’d like to hear are your comments about 9 1/2 Weeks!! It was recommended to us by a lot of people and we want to know what made it stand out for so many people! So make sure to comment below or email us at email@example.com
This week we’re talking Love & Basketball. And it brought up the little known fact that Lizzie has a deep love of basketball. From family members playing ball to her roommate in college introducing her to this movie to her family watching the Orlando Magic play in the mid-90’s heyday.
What’s wonderful about watching all different kinds of movies is that it has led to lots of personal stories!! Do you have a movie you’d like us to tackle? Leave it in the comments below or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
I’d like to say that The Notebook garnered deep philosophical conversation, punctuated by well thought out arguments. I’d like to say it inspired in us poetry and romance and other beautiful, collected sentiments.
But in reality…we got a bit drunk and basically waxed poetic about Noah for over an hour (and that’s with a LOT of editing)…so…ya know…enjoy!!
The time has finally come to press send. Welcome to a brand new podcast all about sex in the movies!
Lizzie is single and has been for a very long time. Mel is married and has 2 kids. And Melissa has 2 children and is recently separated. But they each have very different experiences and stories to share about sex. The movie choices each week spark some seriously deep conversation.
